Dr. Harina Chahal

MD, FRCPC (Neurology)

Neurologist & Neuromuscular Disease Specialist

After completing her neurology residency training at JFK Medical Centre in New Jersey, Dr. Harina Chahal, went on to pursue Neuromuscular Medicine fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and is also board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

She is an Attending Neurologist at Burnaby Hospital and has an outpatient office in New Westminster providing her with vast exposure to both acute and chronic neurological conditions. Her key areas of interest include diagnosing and management of neuromuscular diseases such as focal and immune –mediated neuropathies, motor neuron disease and myasthenia gravis.

Dr. Chahal has also completed a Master’s of Public Health (MPH) degree with focus in clinical epidemiology. She enjoys collaborating with colleagues and has a keen interest in making neuromuscular medicine more accessible and streamlining patient interaction.

When away from clinical practice, Dr. Chahal is enjoys travelling and immersing herself in new cultures.
